Impact International is a non-profit that seeks to financially support the expansion of classical education worldwide, particularly in areas with few or no classical schools. This includes helping existing schools adopt classical pedagogy and helping new classical schools to start.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Carmen Watson - Board Chair, President

Carmen Watson has been a teacher and administrator in classical schools for almost 20 years and has personally seen the benefit of classical education in the lives of countless students and families—and teachers! She loves fostering students’ wonder and joy in learning as they engage with the richness and depth of their world, past and present. Carmen founded Impact International to give people who have been blessed by classical education the opportunity to pass on that blessing to others. This fall, she will begin serving as the Director of a school in Aix-en-Provence that wants to adopt classical pedagogy, enabling her to participate even more actively in the expansion of classical education.

Chrissy Watson - Vice President, Secretary

Chrissy Watson is a music therapist in Chattanooga, TN, where she oversees clinical training for the music therapy program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She has chaired AMTA committees, presents at conferences, and advocates at the state level. Chrissy has long supported music therapy internships and became interested in classical education through her sister and friends. She’s honored to serve on the Impact International board and is excited to help expand access to classical education globally. 

Sheri Pickle - Treasurer

Sheri Pickle has been on the board of a classical school in the Houston area for 6 years. She and her husband have 4 children who have all been educated in classical schools, as well. They love to travel as a family and have seen the impact of their children's education on their ability to interact with and appreciate the history, art, and culture of the places they visit. Sheri looks forward to seeing more children and families experience the richness of classical education through the support efforts of Impact International.
